New Fencing and Decking Repair in York

The Brief

The customers existing timber post and lap panel fence was old and had become rotten.  Unfortunately this had also spread to the sub frame of their existing decking and some decking boards.  Rather than have an expensive decking replacement the customer wanted their decking replaced where necessary and a new fence with concrete posts and kick boards to prevent future issues.

Results/Solution

After lifting the rotten decking boards, the extent of the rot was large but had  not spread so far as to warrant a full replacement deck.  Rotten joists were replaced along with the boards.   The fence was the removed entirely to make way for the new Concrete posts and kick boards.  Quality lap fence panels were then installed to finish the job.

New Balcony Fencing and Sleeper Steps

The Brief

The Sidings near Shipton by Benningbrough is a railway train themed Mediterranean Restaurant and Bar.  The balcony area which allows close views of the railway needed replacing along with new steps linking the outside areas.  The fencing had to be built for safety and be in keeping with the rest of the restaurants charm.

Results/Solution

Fencing was erected using thick smooth tanalised timbers with vertical spindles so as to reduce the risk of children climbing.

A large top handle was placed to allow this to be used as a surface to place drinks and the steps made entirely from Railway Sleepers really linked the whole project to the railway theme it sells itself upon.
